So Athena challenged her.
In the myth, Arachne weaves scenes of the gods’ flaws, while Athena weaves tales of their greatness. When Arachne’s work turns out flawless—and too honest—Athena becomes enraged and turns her into a spider. Her punishment? To weave forever.
